1. About SpendScout & Operator
SpendScout is an independent personal expense, budget, goal, and subscription tracking web application created and maintained by an individual developer, Rishabh Panchal (panchalrishabh04@gmail.com). SpendScout is not a bank, financial institution, or corporate entity.
By signing in to or using SpendScout, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Account Access & Google Sign-In
- Google Authentication: Sign-in is provided through Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and any devices signed in to SpendScout.
- Personal Use: SpendScout is designed for individuals tracking their personal finances, accounts, budgets, savings goals, and recurring bills.

SpendScout is purely a record-keeping and visualization tool. Nothing in the dashboard, budget calculators, month-end projections, or insights constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
5. Personal Developer API Usage
SpendScout allows you to generate personal X-API-Key tokens to automate logging and reading your own expenses:
- Keep your API key secret. Anyone with your key can read or create expenses in your account until you revoke the key in Settings.
- Do not use the API to send abusive traffic, scrape, or disrupt the service. Automated abuse may result in rate-limiting or key revocation.
6. Service Availability & Limitation of Liability
Because SpendScout is independently operated by an individual developer, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted uptime or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rishabh Panchal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, data loss, or financial discrepancies arising from your use of SpendScout. We recommend periodically exporting a CSV backup of important records.
7. Account Termination
You may stop using SpendScout or request deletion of your account at any time. Accounts that abuse the infrastructure or violate these terms may be suspended or removed.
